Village Real Estate has a passion for strengthening our community. Hands On Nashville began the HES program in 2011 to improve the homes and lives of very-low income homeowners in the Nashville community. Village Real Estate founder and CEO, Mark Deutschmann, began the Go Green Nashville program in 2009 as a member of ULI Nashville’s Environmental Committee to help homeowners through the process of improving the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes. Village Real Estate and Hands On Nashville have had a long history of collaboration, especially surrounding the topic of home energy efficiency.

Following the spirit of this collaboration, Go Green Home Services was created, to both strengthen the HES program and help Nashvillians improve their own homes.

Community Reinvestment

Go Green Home Services is an innovative social enterprise that not only provides customers with high-quality home improvements at an affordable price, but it also invests 50% of net revenue in Hands On Nashville’s Home Energy Savings Program. This nonprofit program engages volunteers to make energy-savings upgrades in low-income homes at no cost to qualifying Nashvillians.
